How to reach us
Come and visit us in the picturesque Val D'Avio in Alta Val Camonica, 1950 metres above sea level.
The Refuge overlooks Lago Benedetto, at the foot of Monte Avio (2962 m), in the shadow of the Gole Larghe Pass (2804 m).

FROM TEMÙ TO MALGA CALDEA
Take the main road in the direction of Temù and follow these directions at the roundabout:
- If you come from Edolo, take the first exit.
- If you are coming from Ponte di Legno, take the second exit.
Next, proceed along Via Val d'Avio and then Via Prevalé in the direction of Malga Caldea - Rifugio Garibaldi. From here, the road becomes unpaved, so it is advisable to use an off-road vehicle.
MALGA CALDEA (1584 m) - LAGHI D'AVIO (1929 m) - MALGA DI MEZZO REFUGE (1950 m)
Park the car at Malga Caldea and climb up through the segosta (the service road to the dams). Drive past Laghetto D'Avio (1900 m), Lago D'Avio (1908 m) to the scenic Lago Benedetto (1928 m).

At the foot of Mount Avio (2962 m), in the shadow of the Gole Larghe Pass (2804), the Malga di Mezzo Refuge was built and completed by the Municipality of Edolo (BS) on the ruins and remains of the old malga of the same name, used for sheep farming.
Thanks to its privileged location, the lodge offers access to a wide network of well-marked trails, and is the ideal point of departure for your excursions, trips, and ascended in the beautiful surroundings.
